Event Details
“It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set you FREE” - Galatians 5:1
It is a moment that I will never forget. Standing tall in my memory as a tribute to freedom this one moment set the tone for the rest of my life. It was the moment I was set free by Jesus Christ.
Jesus declared that He came to set prisoners free! Jesus has given us the keys to freedom and His desire for us is that we never be locked up again. He promises that when He sets you free you will be free indeed! And its true. I know it.
Throughout this country, throughout this world, there are women and girls who are living out their lives in self-made cages. Captured and confined by words and emotions, lies and deceptions, pacing the length and breadth of their cages day by day, unaware that freedom is one locked door away.
This year at Soul Spa we are praying and preaching for freedom for every woman. It is for freedom that Christ set you free and you can be free indeed!

We are excited to have four keynote speakers at Soul Spa this year. Here’s a taste of who they are:
Jan Philips
Patient, resourceful, sweet-spirited

Kara Isaac

A friend for all seasons, Kara is hotly pursuing the kind of life that God blesses, and she’s bringing us with her!

Like a warm bowl of soup on a frosty day, Julia brings that certain mix of goodness and comfort that every soul needs.
Sarah Field
Tender-hearted, passionate, strong
Like a charge of spiritual electricity, Sarah’s passion for God is just what the doctor ordered!

Create
According to Miss Piggy “It is vital to have at least one bag for each of the ten types of social occasions: very formal, not so formal, just a teensy bit formal…”
We know you love to create. This year, our creative team will teach you how to make a funky tote bag. Don’t panic, no sewing skills required!
Impact
Impact is all about leaving a lasting impression on others in our community of God’s great love for them. We’ll be getting our hands dirty as we serve by cleaning, gardening or baking for women and children in need, as well as putting together care packages for women involved in prostitution.
We’ll be meeting at 1pm in the small auditorium for a quick briefing before heading out to make an impact in Wellington. So remember to either bring your own packed lunch or book a lunch from the conference, and change into your ‘working’ clothes ready for the afternoon.
Small deeds done with great love can indeed change the world.
Flair
We are very excited to have Lisa O’Neill with us this year to present Flair. Lisa O’Neill is a personal stylist and motivational speaker who is a regular contributor on Good Morning, and has a passion for helping women to look great. Come prepared to laugh as Lisa gives you the "in" on fashion faux-pas and ‘body secrets’, all while providing invaluable advice on “dressing to your shape rather than your age or size”, “how accessories will change your life” and “spending money where it matters most”.
High School Stream
For High Schoolers, you get the best of both worlds - the opportunity to create something tasty which you will then use to go out and bless the community. We’ll be heading offsite again this year, so to make the most of our time together it is imperative that you bring with you, or order yourself, a packed lunch. Limited to 50 places, so get in quick because we cannot wait to see you there!
Cost: Adults $80, Students $60
International Justice Mission
This year, as part of our focus on freedom, we are very excited to be supporting the International Justice Mission (IJM). IJM is a human rights agency that works around the world securing freedom for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. A percentage of your ticket price will be donated to IJM and we will also be taking up a special offering for IJM on Saturday afternoon.
Essentials
Lunch: Optional lunch packs are $14.50 and will be provided by Sarah Searancke Catering. If you have any special dietary requirements, or simply prefer, there are many great cafés nearby or you can byo.
Parking: The number of parking spaces at The Street City Church is limited. Please indicate on your registration form if you require a disability space. There is parking available on Kent Tce and Cambridge Tce and in the surrounding streets.
Childcare: Childcare is not provided. Babes in arms are welcome.
Registrations: Online registrations will incur a booking fee.
Terms and Conditions
1. Registration will not be accepted until payment is received. Once registration is confirmed, you will receive your wristband.
2. The wristband will provide you with your Soul Spa access and must be worn for the whole event.
3. Any person registered as a High School Student will be automatically included in the High School stream activities.
4. Tickets are for the whole event; there are no discounts for partial attendance.
5. Cancellations: Should you need to cancel your registration to Soul Spa ‘10 you must return your wristband along with a request to refund of your ticket price. An administration fee of $10 will apply. All refund requests must be made prior to 15 August 2010.
6. Transfers: You may arrange a transfer of your ticket. The transferee must accept all Soul Refreshment and food choices of the original registrant. Name and contact details for any replacement attendee must be notified by email to:soulspa@thestreet.org.nz before 10 September 2010.
